Oh Hey World...

So we've been gone a long time.... A longggg timmeeee..... Espcecially me, Lindsey because I spent my summer in Daytona without a computer. (I can tell you about that later! It was wonderful!) Anyways, I just wanted to tell whoever (if anyone besides Vanessa- Thanks!), looks on our page, just what song has been on replay for me. Its a wonderful wonderful song by Hillsong. 2 days late..not too shabby

I told you pictures would come. and they are here!!! not very many, but at least I have some.

This would be Tyler. On his off days he still enjoys supporting his work.(check his hat.) Without him, we probably would have not gone to the firework show nor found it. He also enjoys overly priced lemonade and sour skittles.


This is Kyle. Although I'm sure some of you are thinking it, no, he's not part Asain. I think he was just really excited about walking back to the car. Without him we would have never made it there. He was the taxi driver. Although fireworks are cool, he will remain disappointed until the day he sees a Mario firework.


This would be Jessica and I. Jessica and I are both rocking a 3$ Walmart steal. You just can't see mine.. Jessica is overly excited about being American and still pumped from all the fireworks we saw. I however, am saddened because I know another July 4th is near the end.

America's Bday Eve.

I can't believe it's already July 3rd. What's even harder to believe is that I have not updated this thing since May. Okay maybe that's not super hard to believe but I still fill like it's kind of sad.

Anyways. I know Lindsey and I are both loving this weekend so much already. I have talked to her on the phone the past two days and I can totally hear the joy and happiness in her voice when we talk about the 4th of July. Tonight she is all decked out in her patriotic gear at the race track. Tomorrow I will be sporting my super awesome 3$ Walmart American tanktop. Today Jessica and I also made a really awesome cake that is full of American pride.

Hopefully I will post some good pictures of tomorrow soon that will maybe entertain the 2 of you that are reading this.

Yo-Yo's.

When many of you think of the word yo-yo, your mind probably goes back to your childhood and begins thinking about the first time you learned how to "walk the dog", "loop the loop", or "rock the baby". I might have mastered killing the dog or putting a big knot in the loop. I never had those mad skills as a child. whatever, life goes on.

Now that you have found your old yo-yo and are playing with it, I am here to tell you that there is anothertype of yo-yo which is much different and in my case, much easier to master.

Here it is world. the REAL yo-yo...


This is what I would like to call a grandma yo-yo. and with maybe 500,000 of these little guys you can make this..


And hopefully I will be making something like this in the summer if my classes are not too strenious on me. I might start off making a pillow or something maybe a little easier and then work my way up. There are some really cute baby quilts I found that I would love to make one day. So let me know if you are ever planning on getting married and then having a kid. because it will probably take me a good 10 years to make enough of those little things to actually make something!!

Entertainment

Ok Ok. So when you're having a bad day or you just need something to lift your spirits up, I know the perfect website for that, aside from our blog.... duhhh. If you have ever heard of Today's Big Thing, then you know what I'm talking about. It has 7 different categories, 6 videos, and 1 pictures. There simply the videos from the internet separated into the categories. For instant, Cute Animals video yesterday was a dog standing on a giant turtle while he was walking. I mean, honestly, it's the simple things in life that make me happy. I can always look onto the website and see something that lifts me up, or makes my jaw hang to the ground because its so awesome. And sometimes, if you get lucky, a video you saw 2 months ago will end up huge on youtube and you can be like, hey, i saw that before it got big. Anyways, I know you're super excited to see this website now, so here you GOOO!!

It Is Time...

OOOKKK. So I am finally caving in. I've been procrastinating for along time because I was going to put up a cobbler recipe that I made, but that recipe is at home, therefore, I cannot put it up... SOOO I am just going to settle to show you guys something that I want to make so badly!! Amanda showed me this website and I have been hooked ever since. They have awesome looking recipes and I just want to make so many of the things they have!!! However, this is my number one choice.

I mean, look at them. How can you not resist... Bacon, Chicken, anndd cheese??? I don't know about ya'll, but those are some of my favorites... So one day, I WILL make these, and I WILL post them on here and show you guys!!! So I know you cannot wait...


UNTIL THEN!!! (Well, hopefully it will be before then...) SO LONG!

Third times a charm!

This is my 3rd entry for the day. so let's see how long it takes for me to get frustrated and quit.

Things like this seem to happen rather often to me. Almost everytime I try to make a facebook video it messes up. example, just today..Jessica Sethman's bday is today and I thought how lovely would it be if I sent her a video? so I made one. I sang to her. ate some corn on the cob. shared a few laughs. the list goes on and on.. and then I click on the send button and what do you know? one of my most hated words in the whole world pops up... ERROR!!

So what did I do after that happened? The only thing I can do... I laughed. I laughed because I have already written 2 blog posts today. The second one might have been "best blog post" worthy but who's to judge that. Of course right after tthings like this happen I become annoyed and a sudden rush of anger runs through my veins. But then I stop and think for a second and I laugh.

I am a very strong believer in the saying "everything happens for a reason". But to clarify, I think some people think this and really have no backbone behind as to why they believe this. I, on the other hand(man are we just having an anatomy lesson? backbone, hand..), believe everything happens for a reason because God wants them to. Like take for example earlier today when I was trying to write a new post, I was writing about how we should not have "ordinary" days and we should desire something more and meaningful because God created each day for us and we should not take them for granted. Well after what seemed to be thousand and thousands of words, I was feeling pretty guilty and I believe God used me to teach my ownself how to live a life more pleasing to Him. Another incident occured in 2008 right after I went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. After taking I think around 6 or 7 hundred pictures of this BEAUTIFUL place I had just been to, I lost my sim card. All of my pictures were gone!! yes, I will confess, I cried. but deep down I knew there was a reason for me losing my card. It definitely made me realize how much I tend to care about earthly possessions and how really nothing "earthly" of this world matters.

Where am I going with this? I believe everything happens for a reason because God wanted it to be that way. Whether it's good or bad God is in control and He can and will be with you through it.


I must now eat the rest of my lunch/dinner. linner?? i think so..

First Blog EVER!!!!

So this is our first blog ever. I was waiting for Lindsey to post something first because I did not want to be held responsible if this thing blows up in our face. but whatever... I told her I would post something this week so I must follow through with my promise.

Alright, so if your still confused as to why we're doing this let me feel you in...
We are doing this to let you and the rest of the world know about our wonderful lives. Okay not really, but kinda. Every blog is going to be filled with things we love, or just random stuff that we think is important and possibly entertaining for all of you.

Today's post features SPRING BREAK. something I love, is important, and very entertaining for college students. Last year's spring break helped contribute to the picture on the bottom of this blog. This year, however, the two of us were not able to venture to the same place. My detestation this year...Belize.
why you may ask?? Because Belize is the new Panama City. okay maybe not. but really, my sister is student teaching down here and why not go visit her right? i love her, she's kinda important, and this is definitely entertaining.
So far I've....
gone cave tubing to the Underworld (ask Lewis about that one)
went to some bird place
gone to the Belize Zoo
ate 2 tamales
fed some monkeys..while they were crawling all over me
helped some desperate student teachers with tedious nonsense
climbed the tallest Mayan Ruin in Belize
and managed to not get any sun so far. excellent.

that's about all I can think of right now so I think I'm just going to post a picture to show you what I'm talking about.
